A Remarkable Year

by Shea Bell

During the year end holiday break I sat with my notebook for a few days and came up with a few folks (and resources) who really stepped in this year on my heroine’s journey and to whom I am deeply grateful.  Of course the danger of making a list means I may have forgotten someone. If I did Dearhearts, please forgive me!  Most of you have been steadfast partners in life, and I hope you know your friendship is everything.

Always

Mom – for her grace, wisdom, and abiding love. She will always top the list.

Children and grandchildren – flesh of my flesh, their goodness amazes me.

Family and friends – without whom life would be really scary and way less fun.

Spiritual Advisers

Karen Merkas – Since I met her 17 years ago at Al Anon Karen has inspired my spiritual development, and seems to always know what to feed me next…an email, a book, a ritual, a course, so much.  A gifted medium, I’m grateful she is my mentor and friend. We share an insane level of curiosity and humor.

Melba Carlsen – Reverend/Medium/Healer at the Spiritualist Alliance in New Westminster. She welcomed me into her meditation circle this fall to learn and develop with a group of remarkable ladies.  Sitting with Spirit is one of my most fulfilling pursuits.

Healing

Ross Kerr Threshold Healing – Ross’s unique brand of spiritual and physical healing includes talk therapy, aroma therapy, and bodywork.  For those on a courageous healing journey, he is the man.  Ross has loosened me up in places I didn’t even know were jammed, including my tear ducts. “Here’s a box of kleenex, Shea”. He’s a low key guy booked months in advance.

Cherise Jacques – Birch Tree Clinic, Ladner – Cherise is an Osteopathic practitioner and Cranial Sacral Therapist.  She fuses the two skills into a remarkable healing modality, and has been critical in my recovery from physical injuries as well as a crashed central nervous system.

Paul – Medicine Shoppe Tsawwassen. – Paul is the owner operator of this pharmacy, and is always available to discuss an ailment or concern. He provides the service and advice we all need as a partner in our healthcare. Paul drops everything to help me, my Mom and my son with advice and recommendations that provide solutions. Do you have a dedicated pharmacist in your corner?

Abraham Hicks – YouTube – Esther Hicks is a direct channel medium, who in partnership with a spirit group called Abraham, delivers universal wisdom and truth.  Anyone who feels stuck or is struggling will find solace and inspiration here on just about any subject.

Heather Dominick – A Course in Business Miracles – Heather is Founder and director of the Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur Movement (HSE).  As a coach, she empowers those of us who are “highly sensitive” to realize the gifts and challenges of being an HSE, and how to be successful in the world without overwhelm or failure kaiboshing dreams.

WOL – Women of Light – A small group of ladies who meet every month or so to discuss experiences and share resources gleaned from everyday soulful living. We are a strong and loving group from disparate backgrounds but with common values.

Heather Lynn Tobin – RockYourMud – A soul led coach who helped me uncover what is holding me back. I have more work booked with her in January and hope to land wobble free on my path soon.

Authors

Alexandra Amor – Author, and writer of children’s fiction and cozy mysteries for adults.  She also wrote an award winning memoir of her years in a cult called Cult A Love Story.  Alexandra is a remarkably kind and courageous woman now writing from her home in Uclulet.

Alexandra Franzen – Author – Alexandra hails from Portland, Oregon.  She writes books, articles and newsletters, and holds writing retreats. She has one planned for June 2019 on the Big Island of Hawaii.  I’m already manifesting a spot. I LOVE her style.

Darlene Foster – Author – Darlene is a hometown gal who retired to the Costa Blanca with her husband. She continues to write excellent children’s books. Her main character is a young gal named Amanda who travels around the world with her parents and a friend, never ceasing to find a mystery to solve. Get the series!

Others – Not Least!

Megan and Hugh McCord – Dear Friends – who invited me as their guest on their annual trek to Zihuatanejo this past November. Nothing like 2 weeks of swimming, eating out, and laughing to reset your jib.

Barb Drozdowich – Author, Social Media Consultant, Web builder – Visit Barb at Bakerview Consulting – She agreed to work with me to build my website this year.  Her patience and ability to explain techno stuff to a rank amateur was remarkable.  The day my blog went live was my biggest thrill and accomplishment of 2018.  If you have a website vision she will make it happen!

Corey Hardeman – Artist –If you’ve noticed the occasional insertion of a fig as divider between sections on one of my posts, it was Corey who brought my vision to life. Besides her talent, she is an expert listener, and created a fig oil painting that’s exactly what I wanted. She is professional, zany, gifted, hilariously funny, and a pleasure to follow on SM.  I am such a fan.

David Maglio -personal injury lawyer – Hammerberg Law – A little over 4 years ago I was rear-ended, and sought out expert help. David explained that his job was to enable my recovery by making available all the treatment required, for however long it took, and that my only concern was to recover. He took care of the rest and it all wrapped up successfully in August. I was very glad to have him at my back, and then to see his back!

I’m deeply grateful to you all for your expertise and dedication. You were important contributors to my remarkable year. Now as we sit at the threshold of another 12 months, I wish you success and happiness, some great new discoveries, and a little magic sauce on the side.

Thanks for stopping by.  I would love to hear some of your game-changing moments and invite you to scroll down to the bottom to comment.
